Pretty much the same sort of homework you get today except for the technology they didn't have back then! They'd have learned typing instead of keyboarding, for example.
Online homework is sometimes helpful - it can be graded easily and the student can get everything done on the computer instead of having to use paper and books. Some homework just needs to be done the old-fashioned way, though.

Children who were lucky enough to go to school instead of working in a factory had a lot of the same homework you do: math, English, history, and science. The only things they would not have done were stuff we have using modern technology, like computers and keyboarding.
It is better than comp. hmwk cause we get to type and not handwrite it....plus you could type at home instead of lugging a textbook home then back to school again..... hope that helped...
Well, the most obvious way is that students can ask complete strangers their homework questions on the internet instead of doing the actual research themselves.

It makes it easier for people to communicate with others. It also makes it easier for us to buy things and sell thing. People can even get there honors degree off of the computer. People can take tests, do homework, listen to music, drive instead of walk everywhere, and talk to people over long distances. Technology was made to make life easier for humans and that's some of the ways it helps humans.
