Remembrance day is always the 11th November. There is always a 2 minute silence on the Sunday closest to Remembrance day. Remembrance day is to remember all of those people who died in the army in Britain, we do this by selling poppies everywhere and a certain % goes to The Royal British Legion to support all the soldiers injured and badly upset or hurt, this also helps families too.

Remembrance Day was formally called Armistice Day but was changed in order to include all following wars in it's remembrance, all soldier's, air forcemen, naval personnel and nurses who gave their lives in subsequent conflicts since the end of the first world war, also known as "the Great War". The actual full name of the day is based around the signing of the Armistice which was done on the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month 1918, which in modern language is 11 o'clock on the 11th November.
