most organisms need oxygen to live. all animals do, including fish. viruses don't resperate so they don't need oxygen, but technically they are not alive. there are some aerobic and anaerobic bacterias, aerobic meaning they need oxygen to survive and anaerobic meaning they don't need oxygen. plants don't need oxygen, as they photosynthesize, but sometimes they do, when there is a lack of light.

"Recently, a group of Italian and Danish researchers found the first multi-cellular creatures that live their lives entirely without oxygen. Those creatures are located on the floor of the Mediterranean and are confirmed by researchers with biochemical analysis and radioactive tracers that those organism are metabolically active. It's really cool."

Do all organisms need air to survive?

All living organisms need water to survive, because they have cells. With air, not all living organisms need air. Some forms of bacteria do not need oxygen to live, and others can't stand oxygen.

The need for air is?

Air is essential for life as it contains oxygen, which is necessary for cellular respiration in organisms to produce energy. Without access to air, our bodies and other living organisms cannot survive as they require oxygen to function properly.

How organism live?

Organisms live by obtaining energy through a process like photosynthesis or consuming other organisms for their energy. They also require nutrients, water, oxygen, and suitable environmental conditions to survive. Organisms have adaptations that help them effectively carry out life processes and respond to changes in their surroundings.

Where can organisms only live?

Organisms can live in various habitats such as land, water, and air. The specific habitat in which an organism can live depends on its adaptations and requirements for survival. Some organisms may be restricted to certain environments due to factors like temperature, pH, or availability of nutrients.

What is the source from which organisms generally take elements is called?

The source from which organisms generally take elements is called the environment. Organisms obtain essential elements such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and phosphorus from air, water, soil, and other living organisms in their environment.
