Best Answer

ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM (ER)

Endoplasmic Reticulum The endoplasmic reticulum is a network of membranes found within almost all eukaryotic cells. The membranes are connected to the membrane of the cellโ€™s nucleus and are important for many cellular processes such as protein production and the metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates.

The endoplasmic reticulum includes both the smooth ER and the rough ER. The smooth ER is a smooth membrane and has no ribosomes, whereas the rough ER has ribosomes that are used to produce proteins.

The smooth endoplasmic reticulum is often called hallways. So if the cell can be seen as having a number of connection cities and towns as the organelles, then the SER would be it. The cell has smooth endoplasmic reticulum through which it is believed that messenger RNA travels from the nucleus to places where it is decoded.
