Starts with the mouth. Mastication (chewing) takes place. The teeth help with the mastication. The tongue pushes food down the throat. Salivary glands help break down the food. Pepsin breaks down the protein. Degluition (swallowing) takes place. Food goes down the pharynx, or throat. Goes down the esophagus, where peristalsis takes place. The cardiac sphincter released the food down to the stomach. Passes the appendix on thw way. Hydrochloric Acid is in the stomach. Pyloric sphincter released it down to the small intestine. Liver

The path food takes through the digestive system begins with the mouth. Food is taken in by the mouth, is chewed and swallowed into the pharynx and the esophagus. From there, digested food passes into the stomach and small intestine before entering the large intestine and then excreted through the anus.
the ingested food (in the mouth), then into the esophagus ( the food pipe ),
the stomach, small intestine ( duodenum, jejunum and ileum ), most of the digestion and absoption takes place in the small intestine and the undigested food enters the large intestine...
When food is ingested it travels through the digestive system. First, the food is ingested through the mouth then is swallowed down the esophagus, or throat. From there it goes through the cardioesophageal sphincter into the stomach. Then the food goes through the pyloric sphincter and the duodenum into the small intestine. The small intestine is connected to the large intestine where absorption continues. Finally the food is pushed through the rectum and out the anus.
Path of food through digestive system in human beings is - mouth - oesophagus [ food pipe ] -stomach - small intestine - large intestine - rectum - anus .

The digestive system has smooth muscle through out it, and they help move the food.
Muscle motion in your digestive system called Peristalsis helps the food to travel through your digestive system.
It is the digestive system.
The digestive system takes food and breaks it down, and the excretory takes whatever is left over.

MUSCULAR
The digestive system prepares food for the bloodstream. The digestive system absorbs food particles and nutrients pass through this system to the bloodstream.
That is the organ system: digestive system.
It is part of the digestive system for the small and large intestines do their part in digesting all the food we eat. The small intestines takes the nutrients out of our food and puts it into our blood stream and the large intestines (colon) takes the moisture out of the digested food (bolus) for excretion.
The function of the digestive system is to break down the food we eat into simpler substances that can be absorbed by the blood.
Food usually takes about 24 hours to make all the way through the digestive system.
you eat, it goes through your stomach, then plops into your toilet...if you make it that far: )
