The spoils system
Andrew Jackson called his system of political beliefs and practices "Jacksonian Democracy."
Andrew Jackson was criticized for replacing most of the people that had worked for the past administration with his own men. I suspect that previous presidents did the same thing but perhaps to a lesser extent . Jackson had fewer ties with the previous administration than did the presidents before him.
Some of Jackson's notables would be the Jacksonian Democracy, Jackson's Indian Removal Act, the Spoils System and Jackson's war on the Banks
The spoils system flourished under President Andrew Jackson, who allowed the US government to become a collaboration among political cronies. Under the spoils system, minority parties are often ignored and kept powerless.
mhm, yes, yeah, yeee, duh, indeed, certainly... he did. **IMPROVED** Technically, yes, he did. Jackson claimed putting new people into government jobs furthered democracy. One of his supporters put it more selfishly when he compared the process to a conquering army right after a war. This was when the term "spoils system" was born.
