Bone Marrow - Apex
Red and white blood cells are formed in the bone marrow, so disorders of the marrow can cause blood disorders.
Magakaryocytes are normally found only in the bone marrow, releasing their contents (platelets) into the blood. However, in certain disorders, MDS for example, they can be found abnormally in the blood (in this case as micromegakaryocytes).
The outermost membranous layer covering the bone is the periosteum. Beneath it are, in order, blood vessels, compact bone, spongy bone, and bone marrow, where blood cells are produced.
collagen fibers are part of the bone tissue
A blood test is usually sufficient but a biopsy would determine that as well.
A bone marrow transplant takes a donor’s healthy blood-forming cells and puts them into the patient’s bloodstream, where they begin to grow and make healthy red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Patients receive high doses of chemotherapy to prepare their body for the transplant. Then on transplant day, the patient receives the donated cells in a process that is like getting blood or medicine through an intravenous (IV) catheter, or tube.

Decreased component depends on the type of anemia, but generally, anemia indicates a decrease in iron levels in the blood. However, you can have anemia with normal blood tests for iron.
why bone is important
Two types of disorders that strike the bone are Osteomyelitis and avascular necrosis.
sprain, dislocation of the bone, and paralyzed
Myelodysplasias (myelodsplastic syndrome) are bone marrow disorders that impact blood cell production.

The scaphoid bone of the wrist has a poor blood supply. This leaves it vulnerable to necrosis (death) if it is broken. Because it can never heal on its own, leaving it in can cause problems in the future.
