Hephaestus under orders from zeus.
Excerpt from Prometheus bound
Hephaistos,
Power and Violence, enough. You've dragged him here to Scythia, the worlds dead end, for you nothing remains.
I must carry through the fathers black command,
To bind Prometheus, a brother God,
and nail him to this precipice,
My heart says not to but I must.
I know the power of zeus,
I must obey.
Prometheus stole fire from Zeus and gave it to man. (Zeus didn't want man to have fire.) He then was punished for it by being chained to a rock.
Prometheus was chained to Mt. Caucasus in the Caucasian Mountains.
For giving fire to humans after Zeus forbade it.
Zeus orders to enchain Prometheus in the Caucasus Mountains, where a vulture will eat his liver all day, for eternity.
Some say it was an eagle, and some say it was a vulture.
Prometheus was a titan, and in the creation of mankind he gave the humans fire, because his brother epimtheus gave the animals all the good stuff like protection, and speed and everything else. what he did was tricked Zeus and commited three crimes against Zeus, for example, 1. he loved man more then the gods, so Zeus put women on earth, 2. he tricked Zeus, so Zeus tricked him into letting a woman into the house, (the woman was Pandora, and she was evil, she had a box full of evil things and released it into the world cause of her curiosity) 3. he didnt tell Zeus the name of his only human son, so Zeus put Prometheus on top of a cliff and tied him there, and everyday Zeus would turn into an Eagle and gore some body part out of him, and make him better so he could do it again every day. if you don't see the biblical refrences either, then the mother who was a vergin, who was pregnant with a gods son, was Mary, and Jesus was the son. and woman come after men, and are evil, Adam and Eve, yeah there yah go (:

Zeus orders to enchain Prometheus in the Caucasus Mountains, where a vulture will eat his liver all day, for eternity.
Chained to a rock in the mountains, where an eagle (some say a vulture) came every day and gnawed his liver. This went on for 30 years until the hero Hercules slew the bird, ending Prometheus's torment.
The story of Prometheus deals with the first fire given to man; Prometheus, a Titan, steals fire from the gods and gives it to humans, for which he is punished by being chained to a rock while a bird of prey swoops down each day and eats his liver, after which the liver grows again so that Prometheus may experience endless agony.
Prometheus actually designed the animals and man and his brother Epimetheus gave out the gifts. Prometheus saved man for last but his brother had already given the best gifts to all the other animals. Man could think but was at a great disadvantage...which is why Prometheus stole and gave fire to man. For taking fire from the gods and giving it to man, Prometheus was chained to a rock where a great bird ate his liver each day. Prometheus would heal over night so that the punishment started again each day.
That would be prometheus, a greek TITAN who stole fire from Olympus and gave it to mankind; Zeus punished him by chaining him to a rock where an eagle gnawed at his liver until Hercules rescued him. good old Hercules :)
