This book sucks...
Oh no it doesn't!
Lancelot is often described as the greatest knight in Arthurian legend, known for his unparalleled skill in battle and his passionate but ultimately tragic love affair with Queen Guinevere. He is characterized as noble, loyal, and courageous, but also conflicted by his love for Guinevere and his loyalty to King Arthur. Lancelot's internal struggles and his unwavering commitment to chivalry and duty make him a complex and enduring figure in Arthurian literature.
He did not die in this novel, however he died in The Book of Merlyn as a hermit
His face was very ugly
Not ugly at all according to the medieval tales. The Prose Lancelot often refers to Lancelot's good looks and once describes them in a long passage. That Lancelot was ugly is an invention of T. H. White in his novel The Once and Future King.
He saved Elaine from the curse some witches put on her and he also healed Sir Urre's wounds.
because the traditional ways was to defeat the person accused and since Lancelot could not be defeated he looked to the new laws instead
Some allusions in "The Once and Future King" include references to Arthurian legends, Greek mythology, and Shakespeare's works. For example, the character of Merlin alludes to the wizard Merlin from the King Arthur stories, while the character of Lancelot alludes to the Greek hero Lancelot. Additionally, White's retelling of the Arthurian legend often mirrors themes found in Shakespeare's plays such as "Hamlet" and "King Lear."
I don't recall him ever doing so. Excaliber was King Arther's sword although Queen Guenivre did steal it once for a time and as she was tight with lancelot he may have gotten to hold it.
In The Sword in the Stone, he lives in Sir Ector's Castle in the Forest Sauvage with Kay, Ector, and others. In the rest of the books, he lives with his wife Guenever, Sir Lancelot, the Orkneys, and the other Round Table members.
It depends on which version of the story you're reading, but generally yes.In White's The Once and Future King, for instance, she clearly loves him, but he is quite a bit older than she is, and she loves him as an ideal, abstract sense, not with the passion that she feels for Lancelot.
