Master cylinder or drum brake (hydraulic slave) wheel cylinder or disc brake caliper cylinder? drum brake shoes rear
To change the rear wheel cylinder on a 1994 Buick Skylark, first, safely lift and support the vehicle, then remove the rear wheel. Next, drain the brake fluid from the drum brake system, and remove the brake drum to access the wheel cylinder. Disconnect the brake line from the old cylinder, unbolt it from the backing plate, and install the new cylinder in its place. Finally, reattach the brake line, reassemble the brake components, and bleed the brake system to remove any air before testing the brakes.
