It depends where your priorities lie. I am a professional housekeeper,but although I work for other people, when it comes to my own home I do not have the time.My priority is to bring in a wage.I don't like doing the job, but I know I am quite good at it. I hate the way my home looks sometimes, as I was brought up in a v.dirty home. Needs must though, and for certain reasons this is the only thing I can do at the moment. Housekeeping ,in my opinion is v.important. It gives you a sense of pride, knowing that you have made your home ( or someone elses ) a nice place to live. I love coming home after a holiday knowing my house is clean and tidy.(as I always do it before we go away) It's a lovely feeling when you walk through the door, especially when you have had a long trip.You can just relax in a nice comfortable atmosphere.( I am also Asthmatic, so thick dust is a no no. )Also, when we have guests I would be so ashamed of my home if it was not clean and tidy.
So really it's up to the each person to descide what is important in their lives, as to how important Housekeeping should be.For health reasons alone should be reason enough.
