hello
These are sealed systems, you need to make sure the compressor is good first, after you find out the compressor is running, you need to get a piercing valve and hook it up securely to the extra leg on the compressor, Get some 134 a gauges hook them up and go from there. Some older machines still have r -12 units in them and new machines have the 134 a refrigerant. I would recommend that you have a licensed person deal with this, EPA fines are very stiff.
Thanks hope this helps
freon in a soda machine is the same as a refrigerator most of the time these machines and refrigerator's do not have service valves for the Freon in order to check the Freon you would have to attach a service valve to the high and low side known as the suction and liquid line
you must first plug in the machine and listen for the compressor to run if it runs you can then put in 134 A. All softdrink companies and machine manufactures use 134A, it can be bought any where and is cheap. You do not have to have a license to buy or use 134A.
Assuming it is the same type of "freon", yes. The freon would be removed from the old system with a recovory/recycling machine.Assuming it is the same type of "freon", yes. The freon would be removed from the old system with a recovory/recycling machine.
A machine that reclaims Freon is needed to remove the old Freon. The system will then need to have a vacuum pulled, and then the new Freon can be added.
You will be better off replacing it that trying to repair it.
I use a lime green crayon. If you need to get it out of your AC, you will need a freon reclamation machine that can bleed it out safely.
First of all if the system is low or empty of freon, you have a leak. Replacing the freon without repairing the leak would be a waste of money not to mention allowing the freon to escape into the atmosphere. It would be best to take it to a garage and have a professional do the job for you.
No there is no freon in the heater core just antifreeze. The heater core is nothing more than a tiny radiator.
Not without converting the system to R-134a and replacing the compressor oil.
you cant unless you have a a/c recovery machine.gm Jim
Replacing fluids in a car can be tricky the first time around. The freon for a 1992 Honda Civic is put into the suction hose or pipe assembly under the hood.Ê
The system needs to have the Freon reclaimed. With the Freon gone and pressure out of the unit, unscrew the ac lines from the evaporator, replacing the o rings as well. The system will have to have a vacuum pulled before Freon is added.
