Yes, There is an authorized sequel titled Scarlett was written by Alexandra Ripley. It was published in 1991. More recently an authorized prequel/sequel has been released called Rhett Butler's People by Donald McCaig. Both have been met with mixed reviews. There are also many fanfiction writers that prefer to write their own sequel, but of course none of these are authorized by the Margaret Mitchell association.

∙ 13y agoA movie called Scarlett was made...I don't think it was a hit. There was also a book called Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley...it was good but nowhere near comparison to the original. There is also a book called Rhett Butler's People by Daniel McCaig that I highly recommend.

∙ 12y agoRhett Butler's People by Donald McCaig is a very good sequel that explains more about Rhett's life and concludes the story a little better than Gone with the Wind. It doesn't leave the story with so many questions!!
