Sometimes when two people spend time together, even as friends, potentially more can easily develop. If you are in a serious relationship with this guy tell him you don' feel comfortable with him having a female roommate and ask him to make a change in that situation for the sake of your relationship.
If he doesn't see your point, then his feelings are not at the same level as yours. It is up to you if you want to accept this sort of treatment from him.
If you are serious, it is considered disrespectful to you and your relationship for him not to change the situation. Move on if so. If he's disrespectful now and won't change, he will be worse later. If he decides to change because you want to break up with him, it will only send the message that you won't tolerate being disrespected, and everything will be fine.
Don't let him string you along or give you sob stories that he can't find a male roomie. Those are not legitimate excuses.
