Should a 9 year old watch Austin powers?

my little brother was 8 when he first watch all the Austin powers films, and i can can that they are harmless.

there are a few sex references and remarks, but your 9 year old probaly wouldn't even understand them.

it is a fun film which he/she should enjoy!

This depends completely on the maturity of the eleven year old.

As a general answer, no. The content is too adult.

As a forward answer, I watched it when I was twelve.

Think about the content the eleven year old should be exposed to, and what the movie contains. In the film International Man of Mystery the following should be noted:

Sex & Nudity

Lots of scenes of a naked man with objects strategically placed to cover his private parts (although the sides of his buttocks are seen). Apparently naked women in a couple of scenes -- but again with items strategically placed to cover their private parts and breasts -- plus several scantily clad women. Lots of sexual innuendo. Kissing.

Violence & Gore

Men are shot and burned to death off screen. People are killed by being shot in a few scenes, with no blood (sometimes with machine gun fire). A man is choked. Threatening with guns. A man is hit in the head by a shoe. Scuffles, fistfights. A couple of explosions.

There is a scene where a man has his head thrust under water and it gets bitten off by a genetically altered Bass. He is then dramatically pulled back out of the water, and his bloody neck where his head used to be is quite gory. The scene is supposed to be comedic. it is seen after wards that his close friends were waiting for him for a celebration only to be phoned and told of his fate.

Profanity

About 5 F-word derivatives, some mild obscenities, many scatological references and anatomical references. "Jesus Christ" is exclaimed once.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking

Austin says (about the 1990's), "As long as people (have sex) while at the same time experiment with mind-expanding drugs, I'll be sound as a pound."

Austin and Vanessa have champagne with dinner. Later, they're seen drinking more and Vanessa appears to be slightly drunk. She wants Austin to kiss her, but he refuses saying it wouldn't be right since she's drunk.

Austin lights up many cigarettes at once and then tosses them into the fembots mouths.

overall, An eleven year old boy receives more corruption from five minutes of modern rap music or war games than he does from this film, and an eleven year old girl is more corrupted from a life of watching Disney Channel. I would not suggest the movie be shown to an eleven year old child, but that is a personal belief.
