I have RA and have found that drinking even relatively small amounts of it can lead to joint pain, however it should be remembered that normally this should not be a problem. the only way to know for sure is to test it on yourself.

∙ 11y agoThere is some anecdotal evidence that red wine cause pain to sufferers of people with joint damage. However there is no definite evidence that this is so. RA is an auto immune disease and there is no reason why red wine would further affect the immune system. Some of the pain that comes to sufferers of RA is cause by the same problems as those experienced by osteoarthritis and Osseo sufferers often claim that there is a connection.

∙ 9y agoI'm not a doctor but I don't believe it affects your Arthritis. Some research suggests that resveratrol may have anti-inflammatory effects which is a chemical found in red wine. It is best to consult with a doctor because certain medications may not mix well with the alcohol.
