If two batteries are connected in parallel (i.e anode of first with anode of other and cathode of first with cathode of other), then they cannot be charged using 12V, it may damage them.

But if anode of first is connected to cathode of other (i.e. Batteries in Series) and cathode of first with cathode of 12 V supply (i.e. cathode of charger) and anode of second with anode of 12 V supply(i.e. anode of charger) then both the batteries can be charged using 12 V supply, easily.

What happens when a 70 amp hour battery is connected to a 50 amp hour charging circuit voltage of both batteries are being same?

The 50 amp charging circuit will never be able achieve a full charge for the 70 amp hour battery, thus in effect turning the 70 amp hour battery into a 50 amp hour battery.

What is the volts when 1.5v. batteries are wired in series as the total source.?

All batteries connected in series have additive voltages. All same voltage batteries connected in parallel have the same voltage as one of the parallel battery but their amp hour capacity is increased. Example series wound batteries of four 1.5v batteries, would lite a big 6v flashlight. (all 1.5v batteries = Et= 1.5v x4=6volts). That is the big square battery to lite square flashlights.

Can a 0.9V 400MA solar panel be used to charge 2 AA batteries?

To charge a battery, the charger voltage must be higher than the battery voltage. If a AA battery (or any other) has a normal voltage of 1.2V the charger voltage must be at least 1.2V. The type of voltage supply and its current capability is immaterial. No, the charging voltage have to be larger than the battery voltage, to charge 2 AA batteries, that is 3 volt if connected in series, so a voltage of at least 4 volt is needed

How to connect 4 - 6V batteries for -12V system?

In order to connect 4-6 volt batteries and end up with 12volts you will need to understand parallel and series connections. to connect two batteries in parallel you would connect the positive side of one battery to the positive side of the other battery; and the negative side of one battery to the negative of the other battery. doing this will not change the voltage. to connect in series you connect the positive of one battery to the negative of the other battery. doing this will increase the voltage;in this example you will end up with 12v. 6+6=12. when you stack batteries in a 2-cell flashlight that is connecting the batteries in series. The answer to the question is: connect two batteries in series; then connect the other two batteries in series. after this is done connect the two pairs of batteries in parallel. If you think of it visually you would have two batteries wide and two batteries tall.

What is the total voltage if a 12v battery 6v battery and 2.5v battery are connected in parallel?

There is no answer to this question. It could be anywhere between 2.5V and 12V. If you connected them in series the answer would be 20.5V, in parallel the higher voltage battery will discharge into the lower rated cells, the resultant voltage is dependent upon the internal resistance of each of the batteries. In practice you wouldn't do this, so it's either a mistake or trick question. www.powerinspired.co.uk

Missing a battery out of a pyamat rocker chair the charger is 12volTs 1600 ma what size battery can i used i have plenty of room to fit a battery?

Batteries and chargers are matched to each other. You cannot arbitrarily choose a different battery or charger without running the risk of over or under charging, particularly with NiCad batteries, but also for any battery. Best is to consult the manufacturer and pick an exact replacement, or an authoirzed substitute.

What is the Makita Battery Charger used for?

The Makita Battery Charger is used for Makita batteries. This battery charger is capable of charging many batteries depending on the voltages for the batteries.

Can you use a 12volt car battery charger to charge a 18volt cordless drill battery?

I'm actually charging my 12V sealed lead acid battery with a laptop adapter which output is 19V, 2.1A. I'm not sure this will shorted the life of my battery or not, but the battery hold the charge. I don't have a voltmeter to test the voltage, but the battery can light up a 12V car headlight light bull. So, I guess it work.

Why do you not get battery symbol on your laptop sometimes after you on power supply in your laptop made by Toshiba model no A200?

Note: When interconnecting A200 batteries (cells), they must be identical in voltage and amp rating! Batteries may be connected in series. The positive terminal of the first battery is connected to the negative terminal of the second battery; the positive terminal of the second is connected to the negative of the third, and so on. The voltage of the assembled battery is the sum of the individual batteries. The batteries are connected: + to - to + to - to + to -, etc. The capacity of the battery is unchanged. Batteries may also be connected in parallel. The positive terminal of the first battery is connected to the positive terminal of the second battery, the positive terminal of the second is connected to the positive of the third; the negative terminal of the first battery is connected to the negative terminal of the second battery, the negative terminal of the second is connected to the negative of the third and so on. The batteries are connected: + to + to + and - to - to -. In this configuration, the capacity is the sum of the individual batteries and voltage is unchanged.

Why should a car battery's positive terminal be connected first for charging?

Batteries vent Hydrogen gas. You should always connect the positive battery cable first to avoid a spark at the battery that could cause the Hydrogen to explode. The negative cable should never be connected to the battery negative post. It should be connected to another ground area on the engine.

What gas do you get from batteries?

Hydrogen is released during charging of a lead acid battery.

What is two batteries in a circuit called?

If the batteries are connected from + (positive) to - (negative) then the batteries are connected in "series". If the batteries are AA (1.5v each), then the resulting voltage of the two connected in series will be 3.0v. If the batteries are connected + to + and - to -, then they are connected in "parallel" and for the same batteries the voltage would be 1.5v, but would last twice as long as one battery by itself. A truck battery system is two 12v batteries connected in series (+ to -) to give the truck a running power of 24v.

Do battery charging pads save energy?

From what I have read battery charging pads do save energy. The other plus is that they do not overcharge you batteries as a cell phone charger has the tendency to do.
