I believe that God created us for something great. When we commit suicide then we rob ourselves of the opportunity to fulfill this. Suicide is cruel to those that we leave behind. There is no problem that we can't get through no matter how bad. It may just take time. Life is a gift.

Yes, life is a truly wonderful gift..... then we inevitably die and drift into oblivion.... Looking at this from a non-religious perspective, I think that every individual has the right to take their own life, no matter how selfish it may seem. It's safe to say that nine out of ten times when a person kills themselves it's usually due to psychological torment for which there is usually no remedy or cure. Since everyone knows that death is inevitable for us all, the suicidal individual knows that they aren't really doing anything wrong because someday they're going to die anyway; they're merely expediting the process. When a person feels so depressed and psychologically and emotionally troubled, life itself feels more like a prison than anything, a sick joke if you will. The only way to free yourself from this merciless existence is to kill yourself. In my mind, this is how a suicidal person would be thinking, that is if they're suffering from extensive psychological torment.
