in a home no
in a car yes
Hot wires in home are normally colored black. And ground wires in computers are normally colored black as well.
black wire is hot wire .And the white is the common or white is ground. Depends on what your talking about in an outlet or car battery. In a outlet the ground wire is green or bare copper. neutral is red and hot is black (I remember it by hot can kill you so black is death) if I am not mistaken. As for a car battery i think it's the opposite red is hot and black is neutral.
There are many ground wires on this vehicle. The main one being the negative, (Black) battery cable.
I am guessing that your 3 wires are black (hot), white (neutral) and bare or green wire (ground). Connect black to black, white to white and ground wire to the metal case of swag kit.
in back of dryer u should have a block with three wires 2 blacks 1 green the one u are trying to wire up should have 2 black 1 green 1 white the white and green wire go in the midle post of the block on the dryer and the other 2 wires go to the out side posts of the block
Ground wires are typically bare wire or green covered. Common wires are white and hot wires are black. If you have black wires that are grounds or commons you should contact an electrician to ensure you don't have a problem on your hands. Sounds like someone who didn't know what they were doing has been mucking around in your panel.
hot wires are black, white wires are ground
there is 2 wires one should be red to alarm and black to ground.

The green ground wire should be attached directly to the junction box. That is the metal housing where the house wires enter the outlet.
Answer There should be at least 4 to wires. Four of those wires are for your speakers, the other two, one red is for power and the black on for a ground

There is a good chance that the green wire is your grounding wire. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNo78fMZfRI&feature=PlayList&p=05D94AD4BF05DD32&index=5&playnext=4&playnext_from=PL Attach black to black with connectors and ground (green) to ground (usually a white wire in the box).
