If you are at rest, yes!
Average, "normal" heart rates are 60 to 80 beats per minute and can go up to 100 BPM with emotional or physical activity. The heart rate should drop to baseline after stopping the activity. Heart rate above 100 at rest indicate something is not right.
You should see a physician as soon as possible.
Hmm. For normality +100BPM is tachycardic, but I have a heart problem and my resting rate is 110! I would go to my doctor for a good checkup so that he/she can listen to your heart and lungs, preferably do an EKG or refer you for one, and perhaps do some routine blood tests...108 is borderline abnormal and needs checking out if you are lying down with no other variables...
A normal / healthy pulse rate is dependent on age, gender, and activity level.
For an adult, normal pulse rate can range anywhere from 60-100 beats per minute, but again, that is dependent upon activity levels as well as gender. Males tend to have a slightly slower pulse rate than Females.
In younger children (up to around 10 or so), considering the variables which pulse rate is dependent on, the normal ranges from 70-120 beats per minute. (Older children and teens fall into the adult pulse rate category).
In infants, the normal pulse rate ranges from 100-160 beats per minute.
And so, in answer to the question, I would say that no that is not too high necessarily.
Listen here oh friend so dear,
And listen very well.
Theres no reason for your fear:
Your heart rate is just swell.
My heartrate is 140 when I'm paranoid (which happens frequently) and I am a fine specimen of life. Beat on.
If any person had a continuous, sustained heart beat of 40 per minute, you would be extremely sick or already unable to sustain life. Heart rate below 60 is considered too low. Make sure a qualified medical professional checks your heart rate because it is easy to mis-count your own heart rate.
yes it means you are probably going to have a heart attack and die. j/k no
You could have hypertension

only one heart is ever in a baby, beating or not beating.. Oh wait did you mean how many beats per minute does a baby's heart beat? if that's the question the answer is SEARCH BEFORE YOU ASK
If your pulse rate is 132 beats per minute and you are not doing exersice while that is happening than you should be concerned. The average adult heartbeat is 70 beats per minute. you should consult a medical professional.
If your heart is beating 120 times a minute when you're at rest, I suggest you see a Doctor. That said, at that rate your heart will beat over 63 million times in a year.
When blood and air is tranferred into the heart, the heart has to start beating unless we are dead. The rhythmic beating of the heart is maintained by the Sinoatrial node (80-100 beats/minute), the Atrioventricular node (40-60 beats/minute) or the Purkinje fibers (20-40 beats/minute). It involves the membrane potential of specialized myocardial cells in these parts. Once regions of the heart are fully depolarized (such as the ventricles), contraction follows. Immediately following depolarization comes repolarization, and thus the cycle can repeat itself.How_is_the_rhythmic_beating_of_the_heart_maintained

Your heart.. put your right hand across next to your left breast... do you feel any beating... the answer should be yes.. that's because your heart is pumping blood... so every minute of your life your heart should be pumping.

A normal, healthy heart should beat anywhere from 60-100 times per minute.
I know that a BIOS password can be removed by opening the computer, taking out the CMOS battery and then turn the computer on. Turn the computer back off and put the battery back in. The BIOS password should be gone and you could do that in less than a minute if you were really good at it.
Why do the computer restart after 5 minute when the windows is installed?
