- Yes, you should contact your narcissistic daughter in order to be part of your Grandchild's life. It is said that each person makes an imprint on another's life so you may well end up being your Godchild's saving grace as they grow up. You and your daughter are adults and for the sake of the child hopefully both of you will come to an amicable solution regarding your different personalities for the sake of that child. Try to not look at your daughter as your daughter (if possible) and do not discuss her narcissistic behavior because she has the power to keep you away from your Grandchild.
