It depends on your grade and motivation to stay in that class. If you have an F or D, you drop the class.
"The teacher was very straightforward with the student, telling her that she should probably drop out of the AP class because she was failing." I think you can use it like that in a sentence.
Don't take AP in a class you got a B in to ensure an A or B in the AP class. Otherwise, you should go for it.
If you pass an AP class but fail the AP exam you will NOT get a college credit but you will receive credit for the class. Colleges will still recognize that you took an AP class, and you will still receive credit for the class, just not college credit.
go to ap online..............
No.If I drop a class, it should make no difference at all to your admissions decision. If you drop a class it can. Check with the school.
If it is a core class for your major, you should not drop this class. You might need to reschedule it for another semester, if you have a heavy load this semester and are not able to give this class the attention it deserves. Either way, you must take this class, as it is required for your major.
You should be able to drop the class through the Registrar's Office. There will be a deadline after which you cannot drop the class. If the deadline has passed you may be able to petition, or make a special request to drop the class if you have extenuating circumstances, such as a documented illness. After the deadline, you usually cannot drop the class due to poor performance.
Which class is it? I know that AP classes can be stressful and time consuming, believe me Im in 4 of them, but students learn a lot more in them. If you plan on taking the AP exam to try and get college credit then i think you should consider sticking it out. And even if you don't get a qualifying score for credit, you will have learned way more in an AP class versus regular so you will be more prepared for college. Also, colleges like to see rigorous courses taken by students. Good luck!
You'll have to ask your school that.
Never skip taking the class, you learn valuable lessons that can help making taking that particular test easier and other AP exams easier. As a sophomore you have options so don't over do it with the AP classes and try to enjoy yourself colleges won't look down on taking one less AP. Also they care more about the AP class grade than they do the AP test.
drop everything and follow your class
Definitely a B in an AP class.
