Guinea pigs and Bunnies are both very easy pets to care for. I have a Guinea pig right now, and I've had bunnies in the past. The difference between them is that guinea pigs are hyper-natured animals and they get more frightened than rabbits. My guinea pig that i currently have is actually a very well-natured animal, she is just so fun to play with and be around! But yes in the past i did have rabbits, and my one would lick my fingers and she was just adorable, my guinea pig also does too! The reason i got a guinea pig was mainly because i wanted to try something new. I love her so much and just to make sure you get the right one, you may want to observe the Guinea pigs in their cages at the pet store to see which one fits your approval. I went to petsmart to get mine. I am 15 years old, and it is actually very easy for me to care for my guinea pig, and it was for my bunny too! Haha all they really do is eat, sleep, and poop, so that means all you have to do is feed them, clean their cage, and spend time with her/him. One good thing about both animals, is they don't mind time alone, like when i go to school they wont be too sad about that, but they will miss you:) My recommendation for what animal you should choose would be either animal! which ever one fits your appeal:) They are great family household pets.

I would recommend a guinea pig. they live for a pretty long time and they are fun.

I say either one; whichever one you want; it's your decision. I love bunnies but one of my friends have guinea pigs and they're awesome too. They are both small, furry, cuddly, and cute. So what if one has long ears and the other short? Actually, get both! :)

Is a bunny a good companion for a guinea pig?

Rabbits/Bunnies do NOT make good cage mates for Guinea Pigs. The Guinea Pig needs another of its own kind to thrive. Even if it does have another Guinea Pig partner, the Rabbit/Bunny may try to kill, hurt, or eat them. I hope this answers your question!

The guinea pig should see a veterinarian. The veterinarian can discover the cause of the guinea pig's hair loss, and he or she can see what should be done for the guinea pig.
