NO! STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND ADMIT IT, STATE THE FACT THAT A VICTIMLESS CRIME SHOULD NOT BE PUNISHABLE, AND SPEAK OUT AGAINST TYRANNICAL AND UNJUST LAWS!
The above advice is awesome! It totally ignores the fact that at a lower court no one is going to pay attention to what happens, and if you plead guilty, it is unlikely you will get to "speak out" on these legally irrelevant issues. Although you will pay attention to what happens, because there will be a penalty in it for you...
If you want to run your own life, instead of being a martyr for "Mr ALL CAPS'" cause, for me it would really come down to a few questions:
What were the circumstances (e.g. potential illegal search or anything)?
What are the penalties for the offence in your country?
What would the effect of a conviction be on you?
Does diversion operate (for this offence) in your country?
Do your country's courts give lower penalties for an early guilty plea? (most likely yes)
The best solution for you would be to consult a lawyer.
Always consult or hire an attorney.
If one was not in possession of a drug, nor was aware of the drug that the other person had on them, then yes plead not guilty.
No one should have to pay those penalties if one is truly innocent.
Guilty
You must first determine if you qualify for it. See below link:
That's an issue best discussed with defense counsel. Generally entering a guilty plea will result in the prosecutor's office offering a reduced charge and/or sentencing.
defend yourself against the charges of the assaulted, or plead guilty.
If you did not steal $100-$300 then plead not guilty...If you stole the money then plead guilty and accept your sentence..your previous conviction for theft is going to play a factor in your case either way...
if you are pleading not guilty you wish to fight the ruling i just went through this last month and i made the mistake of pleaing no contest and was found guilty before i could say another word
I don't think you can appeal after a guilty plea.
Unless you have proof you are not guilty the judge will still find you guilty. Why not just take responsibility for your actions if you are guilty.
Plead guilty of all charges on the grounds of insanity.
If going to court, if you cannot afford one, one will be appointed. If a child is innocent, get a lawyer. If a child is guilty, you should get the appointed one, and plead guilty.
Yes
Plead guilty ! If you're caught in possession - you can hardly claim any defence ! You took the risk of carrying illicit drugs - therefore you only have yourself to blame !
