Hai,
In A.T. We havn't necessary to shiftthe gears. According to the Load it will automatically Select the Torque.
When driving a car with an automatic transmission up a steep hill it is not necessary to shift gears. The car will do that on its own when necessary.
You can't shift gears on an automatic transmission because, as it is called, it's automatic! You don't need to shift, it does it for you. == == Maybe the question should be "Why is my automatic transmission not shifting through gears for me as it should?" Could it be a fairly simlpe fix or am I losing my transmission? Yeah Dopey!
You're driving an automatic, the car should select the correct gear for you. However some automatics allow the driver to select low gears for use in slow moving traffic for example. If you feel you need more power when driving uphill then select one of the lower gears.
If you have automatic transmission, you should get a tune-up and have your timing checked. If you are driving stick shift, it might have something to do with your technique. Are you switching gears at the right time?
Gears slipping, such as sudden high RPM's and loss of power while driving. Failing to change gears at a certain RPM in an automatic.
Could possibly be shifting gears sporadically or your driving on hilly terrain.
no tranmission fluid in it or it maybe your tranmission is bad because you keep grinding your gears up but for a automatic its your transmission fluid
In manual transmission you have to manually switch gears in your car's gearbox. This is done by usings clutch pedal and gearstick. Car with manual transmission is much more responsive to you're driving and is considered far superior to automatic transmission.
The most common thing on convertibles (the vehicle) is that most of them have automatic transmission when driving. So instead of manually changing gears, it's automatic.
Because it is. The transmission of an automatic does for you what you have to do if driving a stick. it does that whole clutch in shift for you, supposedly making it more efficient in usage of gas.
Better gas mileage and it will pick up speed faster when shifting gears.
You should use d4 because that means it will use all four gears in your automatic transmission. D3 will only go from 1-3 which is fine if your not going highway speeds.
