I'm not really sure how that would do much good, since rubbing alcohol would really only cool the skin and back pains are typically muscular or spinal in nature. You might be better off with heat and massage.

∙ 9y agoYou can use rubbing alcohol for muscle pain. When the muscle is massaged with the alcohol, it increases the temperature. Between that and the cooling effect of it evaporating from the skin, it helps relieve pain.
