Specifically, burgundy has no meaning or symbolism in The Bible. The colours, crimson, scarlet or red, are similar to burgundy and these symbollicaly represent

bloodshed (Jesus' blood), sacrifice and blood atonement. Maybe this was the colour you were asking about. Very similar to to the colour of burgundy. Colours in the scriptures communicate truths to us by way of symbolic use. The colour red is significant along with others.

The Color burgundy is never found in the Bible. But the color red is! And Red is the color for blood and sin. "though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow." "Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb."

The words in red in the Bible are the words that Jesus spoke. This is why they only appear in the New Testament, because Jesus had not been born when the Old Testament was written.
