During menstruation it is easier for you to develop a vaginal infection such as Bacterial Vaginosis because the vagina is naturally acidic to maintain healthy vaginal flora, but blood makes the vagina less acidic. Menstrual products make a huge difference, tampons are hailed as more hygienic than pads but are actually less hygienic as they keep flow in the vagina which changes vaginal pH and gives bacteria the perfect place to multiply while preventing vaginal cleaning, commercial pads are also problematic because they make genitals warm/moist so perfect for bacterial growth.
It may be a temporary imbalance in vaginal flora but if the bad odour continues it may be a sign you have Bacterial Vaginosis, you should see your doctor for tests and treatment.
Since I've been on depo I've had a lot of clear discharge that smells unusual too
Yes
I wouldn't think the depo has anything to do with the discharge you may have an infection. I would call your physician and ask. I have never heard of that.
Bleeding on Depo Provera is not a sign that it's not effective.
I have had regular periods since I started depo in Oct 09.... I am due for my 4th shot in July and have been bleeding now for over a month.. I am very aniemic so am choosing to discontinue the shot. I started it to help with fibroids and cysts and extreme pain, it work until recently the pain returned, the clots returned and so did the heavy flow.
You can get a Depo Provera shot whether or not you're having vaginal bleeding. There is no medical reason to prefer one time over another.
I heard it stops for the length of the shot duration, and you only have 4 periods a year, instead of 12. Consult a doctor when it comes down to your own personal health.
I've been on depo for a year 1/2..yes it is okay for you to stop having normal periods after starting the depo shot. although you might have cramping and spotting after three months when its time for your next shot.
White or clear discharge every day without odor or itching is part of the normal human condition for women. This discharge is your body's way of keeping the vagina moist and comfortable.
If you missed your Depo Provera shot but haven't been having sex, you aren't at risk of pregnancy. Talk with your health care provider before you're sexually active again if you still want to avoid pregnancy.
This discharge may be ovulation discharge, break through ovulation discharge, vaginal discharge from coming off the shot, normal vaginal discharge, yeast infection discharge, approaching period discharge or pregnancy discharge. There are many causes for vaginal discharge in women hun.
If you are on the Depo shot then when it is time to go back and get your shot they will tell you and you won't be able to get your shot.
Yes it is it is called the Depo-Provera a lot of people call it the Depo shot.
