mollusca
Spiders are grouped into the phylum "Arthropoda." This group includes not only the spiders but also all of the insects and creatures such as centipedes, millipedes, and crustaceans.
In the Kingdom Animalia, there are nine major phyla:Phylum Porifera (sponges) Phylum Cnidaria (jellyfish) Phylum Platyhelminthes (flatworms) Phylum Nematoda (roundworms)Phylum Annelida (earthworms)Phylum Mollusca (snails)Phylum Echindodermata (starfish)Phylum Arthropoda (lobsters)Phylum Chordata (humans)
Diploblastic animals usually develop from the blastula. They were initially grouped in the phylum Coelenterate. They were then removed and grouped in a different phyla when the differences were discovered.
Frogs have backbones
Spiders are in the phylum arthropoda, but they are in there own subphylum called Chelicerata, because they are quite different from other arthropods. The name chelicerata comes from a unique pair of appendages called chelicera.
ChordateMammals are grouped into the phylum Chodlam.
They are invertabrates. Some person on this site said that they are arthropods, but he/she is definetly wrong. They are closely related on the phylum tree, but they aren't exactly arthropods. They are invertabrates. Ps. arthropods are a type of invertabrate. :)
Snails are of the phylum Mollusca.
Snails belong to the phylum Mollusca, which also includes other animals such as clams, octopuses, and squid. This phylum is characterized by soft bodies, often covered by a hard shell, and a muscular foot used for locomotion.
Mammals are grouped into the Phylum Chordata. This means that they have a notochord at some point in their life cycle.
