The responsibility of the muscular system is the movement of the human body. There are at least 700 muscles that make up approximately half of a person's body weight. Each muscle functions in different ways but they all contribute to proper movement.
The muscular system can be essentially divided into two groups. Smooth, (or involuntary muscle), such as that found in the gut and blood vessels, and striated, (or voluntary muscle), such as that found in the working muscles of the body e.g biceps muscle in the arm. A third type of muscle is cardiac. This is branched striated muscle, but involuntary. Involuntary refers to the fact that we have no conscious control over it.
The temporalis muscle in the face, causes the jaw to open and close.
function is to move the body parts and the internal organs as well as maintains body posture. this system of the human body also produces heat
what are five main functions that are important that the muscular system does?
The functions of the skeletal system and the muscular system support each other. They relate to one another because the skeletal system provides structure and support while the muscular system provides the power needed for movement.
The circulatory system regulates the blood so it can travel to different parts of the body. The muscular system functions when blood is successfully carried into the veins in order to perform an action.

The skeletal and muscular systems are closely related. The muscular system is connected to the skeletal system through ligaments. The muscles are what makes the bones move.
Muscular is an organ system that helps the body to move. Is has three types which are skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscle. Muscles work together with the bones to guard the bodyâ??s vital organs and support them in moving.
