Greg Heffley,the protagonist-or more simply:the main character,finds himself in middle school with a bunch of moron's,as Greg said in his diary. And the deuterogonist(2nd most important character),Rowley,is having kid troubles with Greg. Because Greg always lectures him about growing up. And so Greg is not that good of a friend. So mainly, Greg is going through various troubles and stuff in the book.
