It feels horrible. I woke up from bed and I was moaning. I couldn't even talk because of the pain. It feels like death. That was the day I went to the ER in the hospital. I got it at thirteen years old and it felt like death.

TEMPERATURE, I had about 103 average, highest is 105 for me.

A LOT A LOT A LOT A LOT A LOT OF VOMITING, Bring your biggest trashcan if you have one. (I threw up 13 times in one day, most of it was dry haste since I didn't eat much.

Pain in between your abdomen and belly button. THIS PAIN FEELS LIKE DEATH AND SO IF IT FEELS LIKE DEATH then you possibly have appendicitis.

If you took a stomach pain medication that you doctor told you to take to see if the pain goes down, (doctor doesn't know yet that you have appendicitis,) AND if the pain medication DOES NOT WORK, Then almost 100% sure that you have NO MATTER WHAT APPENDICITIS!

RUN TO THE HOSPITAL (drive) IF YOU HAVE THESE SYMPTOMS!

I had my appendix removed in January. I was at a party and went home suck because I had an awful stomach ache. I figured it was the stomach flu because it makes you feel nauseous. I later sat down and realized the pain was in my upped abdomen. I looked up appendicitis syptoms online and practically diagnosed myself. I told my parents I thought I had appendicitis, and they thought I was over reacting. We waited until morning to go to the hospital.i threw up that night and the pain slowly moved to my lower right abdomen. By morning it felt like a sharp pain was stabbing my lower right abdomen. I couldn't stand up all the way. I got the hospital at 8:00am. I had an ultrasound at 1. But it was not 100% conclusive. We had the surgery anyway. The doctors told me I had a very high pain tolerance. Appendicitis is so painful it feels like a never ending toe cramp times30. Not even morphine got rid of its stabbing pain. If you think u might have appendicitis. Go directly to the hospital. The sooner it's removed, the better.

Appendicitis is a medical and surgical emergency.

Answer:

From my experience it hurt so much that i couldn't eat at all, and I had to lay on my stomach the whole time. Taking hot showers was the only thing that would decrease the pain just bit. I thought it was just an ordinary stomach ache, so I took medicine for the pain, but it didn't help at all. By the second day the pain just got worse and nothing I did seem to help, so my mom knew what it was when I told her the pain was on my right lower side of the stomach since she works at a hospital. When i got to the ER, they drew my blood, made me do a urine test, and made me drink two gigantic cups of contrast for a CAT scan. After the CAT scan they told me that I had an appendicitis, so they called the surgeon for immediate surgery which took for hours. I had my surgery at 1 am the day before Thanksgiving. After my surgery, they told me that thank god they took it out on time cause it was completely inflamed. If they waited till that very morning it would of burst and I would of died.

While rare or uncommon, yes, there have been cases of chronic or recurrent appendicitis that didn't require surgery.
