the fast moving parts inside the engine can create a lot of foams due to constant whipping of oil and the moving parts then might not get lubricated enough. it can may create pressure for which the gaskets are not suitable and start leaking. oil may also get into the combustion and possibly dampen the spark plug and eventually cause the car to misfire or even cause the car to die completely when you expect the least.
If your car is smoking, adding things to the oil is not likely to help.
If it is a four cylinder car, it will need between four and five quarts of oil. It is recommended to put four quarts of oil in the car and then check the oil level before adding more.
yes you get a life
an oil pan leak is adding oil to the already polluted environment, causes you to drive with your car a bit low on oil at times, and causes unsightly stains under the car .aside from all this if you monitor the oil level and keep it where it should be , not much of anything else ,i can think of,
The purpose of adding oil to a car i to lubricate the engine. if the engine is not lubricated there will be much more friction between gears and friction generates heat. because energy is needed to create heat that energy is taken away from the energy that would be propelling the car forward. this causes the efficiency yo drop.
Yes, a person can put to much oil in a car. It usually will not hurt a car, but the excess oil can cause smoking if it gets on the motor.
Backfiring is a timing issue.
How much do you like the car cause its a labor job pulling engine just keep adding oil to car till it dies a fraction of the cost
to much oil
The only repair for an engine that is burning oil is a complete overhaul of the engine. If it is not burning excessive oil and is not smoking so much as to be a hazard to other drivers, then I would just keep adding oil. You more than likely have worn rings or maybe a broken ring.
Depends on what car which you fail to list.
Common signs and symptoms of a seal leak in a vehicle include oil spots or puddles under the car, low oil levels, burning oil smell, engine overheating, and unusual engine noises.
