The Aegean Sea separates modern Greece from Asia Minor. The two Turkish straits (Bosphorus and the Dardanelles) are conventionally considered the border between Europe and Asia, but they are both within modern Turkey.
The Bering Strait theory is the theory on how the first humans made it into the Americas. According to that theory, Native Americans descended from an Asian population who crossed the Bering Strait, the area between modern day Asian Russia and Alaska, by a land bridge of ice. These Asians then spread across the rest of the Americas. The Bering Strait theory is viewed as offensive to many Natives, as many of their religions frequently state that they have always been in the Americas. It conflicts with their religious beliefs in the same way the theory of evolution conflicts with Abrahamic religions. In addition, they fear that people would see them as non-Natives because of this. However, judging by that logic, Europeans would not be native to Europe, when they are.
Iran in the north and Oman in the south separate the Persian Gulf from the Gulf of Oman, with only the Strait of Hormuz to link them.
When Spain conquered it from 1521 until 1821.
The first South Asians to come to the Caribbean came as indentured servants during the colonial period. Modern Indo-Caribbean's are their descendants.
Neanderthals did not migrate across the Bering land bridge as they primarily inhabited Europe and parts of western Asia. The land bridge was used by early human populations to migrate from Asia to the Americas.
the native Americans were here.... America "discovered" us. EDIT. America may have discovered us but there is a reason for that the Native Americans wandered over to North America trying to find food in the age we call the Ice Age. They wandered over to North America for survival (what i mean bye that is that they followed the food) when Asia and North America were connected with land called the Bering Strait but as the ice started to melt the water level began to rise and covered the Bering Strait that is no longer there so there you have it. But it is said that the Cherokee Indians were always in America, didn't come from Asia or Europe.
The west coast of North America likely saw the first sustained arrival of people to the continent. Although there are other theories, most scientists believe that the first significant groups of people came from Asia, through today's Bering Strait area, then through modern Alaska, and from there spread throughout North America and to South America.
