About a half million people gathered on a 600-acre farm near Woodstock, N.Y. for the concert, reflecting the anti war sentiment of the youth. On October 15, 1969 was Vietnam Moratorium Day. Millions of Americans demonstrated in their cities against the Vietnam War.
