It has been suggested that there was a conjunction of planets in 3 BCE. However, this could not have been the star of which Matthew wrote in his Gospel. Matthew wrote of a star in the east during the reign of Herod, who died in 4 BCE.
The author of the the Gospel According to St Luke knew nothing of the story of the wise men visiting Jesus, but had poor shepherds visit him instead. Dr Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury and leader of the world's Anglicans, has described the story of the three wise men as nothing but a "legend" and says there is little evidence that they existed. If we accept that there were no wise men, then there need not have been a star of Bethlehem.
Planets.
Crux - the Southern Cross. The Bethlehem Star could have been Alpha Crucis (Acrux).
yes, planets do orbit a star
Yes. for a given system, the age of the planets and the central star would be about the same, as the planetary disc would have formed in one go. Most of the mass would go into the central star, with the remaining material in orbit slowly developing into the planets we have today.
Yes, they can have planets but they will not be as common as a single star system. If any planets are formed, they will generally be far away from the stars. This is because of the gravitational influences of two stars. This instability prohibits the formation of planets. Obviously, it depends on the mass of the two stars and their distance from each other. A close pair will probably not have planets whereas a major star and a far minor binary pair will not experience the same influences and planet formation could occur without the same constraint's. Our nearest binary/triple star system - Alpha Centauri has yet to have any planets detected.
Planets.
they are a star and leftover planets that formed.
It is commonly called the literally "the star"in The New Testament. Some people called the star of David" or the "Star of Bethlehem."
In the words of my physics teacher 'Not in your lifetime!' Planets form from a disk of dust and gas when the star is just a proto-star. Planets cannot form after the star has been formed.
Star Over Bethlehem has 80 pages.
Star Over Bethlehem was created on 1965-11-01.
Jupiter, saturn, the sun and moon were in Aries and it created a morning star (but really a planet) and then at night Jupiter could be seen and that is what the wise men followed

The star in Bethlehem was the star that lead the lowly shepherds to Jesus' manger. It shone day and night, a miracle from God.
