There are 3 main characters. Actually 4, because later in the story, Dartagnon joined the three musketeers. The other main characters are ( ofcourse the three musketeers plus Dartagnon ) Porthos, Aramis and Athos
The antagonist of the three musketeers is mainly Milady. She led to the unfortunate death of many characters, such as Constance Bonacieux, Felton, and the Duke of Buckingham. Also, Milady turns out to play a major part in almost the lives of each character: she is the wife of Athos, she tried to kill Lord de Winter's brother, and she finally corrupted many people.
