In universe magnesium is the most abundant (Mg= 0.07%) metal of group II. Calcium is the second most (0.006%). *)

On earth (crust) Mg= 2.9%, Ca= 5.0%

In oceans Mg= 0.13%, Ca= 0.00042%

In human body Mg= 0.027%, Ca= 1.4%

*) Note: (All %'s are by weight)

Hydrogen (H= 75%) and Helium (23%) and Oxygen (1%) take 99% of all atoms in universe. Iron (0.11%) is the most abundant metal.
