He was a known merchant and patriot born in Manila, Philippines during Spanish occupation. And was allegedly involved in revolutionary movement in Cavite that happened in 1872, the year when the Three Filipino Priest Martyrs named Father Gomez, Father Burgos, and Father Zamora was executed to death. He was exiled in Hongkong where he helped Filipinos to stay at his home for comfort, one of these Filipinos was Dr. Jose Rizal, his friend.
