The 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue throttle position sensor is held in place with two retaining screws. Remove the retaining screws and the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new throttle position sensor.
Sure, the TPS or throttle position sensor is located on the throttle body.
the t.p.s sensor (throttle position sensor) is on the throttle body its on the opposite side where the throttle cable connects on the throttle body
It is on the throttle body, opposite of where the cables attach.
On the bottom of the throttle body - look where the pedal cable meets with the throttle body - look opposite the end of the connection assembly on the other side you will see the throttle position sensor.

I have a 98 olds intrigue...the camshaft position sensor is located around the middle polley on the left side of the engine. It has one screw. It's fairly easy to install.
possibly the throttle position sensor the sensor will also change the shifting pattern
Round the neck
The possibilities can be many. It can range from a malfunctuioning fuel pump, to a bad throttle position sensor, to faulty fuel injectors. First I would check the throttle position sensor since this is the cheapest part, and also the easiest to replace. The throttle position sensor tells the computer how much air and fuel to put in the engine. If it is messed up it can cause hesitation, stalling, transmission buckoing, etc...
on throttle boyy in corner
The throttle idle sensor is located on the side of the throttle body. As a result of its location, it is important to make sure that you watch where you put your hands so as not to trip it.
Just after the throttle body
That would be throttle position sensor located on throttle body with wires coming out.
check the oxygen sensors, mine was "running rich" also but it turns out the problem was a bad upstream o2 sensor. The other thing could the throttle position sensor, because the engine is throttle body injected, the sensor could be dirty and sending the computer a bad reading.
Test the throttle position sensor, then the Idle air control valve you may find your solution here....
I would recommend getting the Haynes repair manual for your car and all that information is there.
They are located on the IAT itself which is on the throttle body
I believe it is on the right side of the engine near the throttle body. Look underneath the throttle body housing and there should be a sensor near the engine block. That would be your cam sensor. Hope this helps.
Where is the camshaft position sensor located on a 98 Mercury Mystique 2.4??
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the front side of the engine block near the flywheel/driveplate
The map sensor is plugged into the intake manifold. It will behind the throttle body on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Cam position is taken from the distributor. There is no separate cam sensor.
