Dead short between ignition switch and starter solenoid trigger wire?
By turning the ignition key...
With a key, by turning on ignition
may be a bad starter..... or if the engine is cranking with no start it could be the ignition wires
For Ignition. Your car will not start if this fuse blows, generally if there is a short.
more than likely is the ignition module. What year?
after truck warms up will be hard to start, module may even start turning white colored make sure you are getting 12 volts to the module from the ignition also good luck
fuel pump relay
Your ignition switch crapped on you
No, if it starts on its own without you turning the ignition switch then the ignition switch is defective.
Gauge Cluster Board Bad
I had a similar problem on a Ford truck and it turned out to be the ignition switch. The truck would start just fine but when I released the ignition key the truck would die. I replaced the switch and problem was gone.
generally , cranking an engine is done with igniton where turning is done by hand with the ignition off so as it will not start
More than likely it is your ignition module on the distributer. if not its the coil.
When owning a four wheeler it is important to know how to start it. This is done by turning or flipping the ignition switch on the vehicle.
I've had to resolve this issue by turning the steering wheel and playing with the key. You can try to start the truck and then quickly turn it off to get the key to come out as well. My problem ended up being a shift solenoid that was sticking and telling the truck that it was still in gear.
It is possible that a Ford Transit might not start if the key was left in the ignition in the on position. The battery is probably dead, if turning the key produces no noise at all.
Very few trucks at that time had automatic transmission. So you can start a manual transmission by pushing it off. Turn on the ignition switch. Place the gear into 2nd gear. Depress the clutch. Push the truck to about 5 to 10 mph and release the clutch and the engine will start.
If you turn the ignition to the on position, and then press the interlock button, you don't have to press the clutch pedal down to start the truck.
Well somethings i need to know? Is the truck engine turning over and just not starting? If the truck is turning over i would first off guess either gas or elelctrical problems. If the starter is not turning the engine over, then i would point at the starter relay (you should hear that click when you turn the key). Also if you find that the relay is fine and it is just not clicking then i would look at the ignition switch on the steerin column. . ) Also, it may be the ignition control module. If the engine turns, but no spark, this could be the ptoblem also. Good Luck!
Is the bike in neutral? Has any alarm system been deactivated? Is the battery charged?
More than likely because of a short. its probably a shorted ignition switch
Try turning the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key.
iveco truck just wont start . just parked up and unlaoded got back in on ignition lights and wont start
low fuel presure. try priming it by turning ignition on and off several times.
