Form fits function is the concept that an organism adapts to its environment.
For example, an owl can fly silently to avoid being heard or seen. A penguin uses its "wings" to swim due to the large portion of water in their environment.
Physical, functional, and performance characteristics or specifications that uniquely identify a component or device and determine its interchangeability in a system.
"Form fits function" means that an organism is designed structured or shaped in a way that will help it perform a certain function or many functions easily with this structure. For example, the fins of a fish help it to propel itself through the water. The human heart serves its function as a muscular pump to get blood circulated throughout the entire body
It means that the shape of something (or the make-up of its parts) helps it do its job. A nerve cell is log and branching so it can send impulses to other cells throughout the body. A leaf cell has chloroplasts for photosynthesis, whereas a root cell has none.
Form-fit-function is a concept that an organism adapts to its environment.
Form is another way of saying design. When form follows function it means that the aesthetic component of the product does not interfere with the function or even enhances it.
Excercising to build muscle.
The main function for a leaf cell is transforming the energy from sun into nutrients.
The function of a starch molecule is energy storage.. Therefore, as form fits function, starch is a very long molecule with many..many...many bonds that store the energy.
BEcause the form is created to aid a specific function therefore deciding the function for the form. For example the foot, it is formed in a way to aid you walking, circulating blood and more. A foot cannot be forced into protecting the body against diseases, because it was not formed for that particular function.
An organ is a structure that has a definite form and performs a definite function or functions within the body.
The abstract noun forms for the verb 'to explain' are explanation and the gerund, explaining.
The main function for a leaf cell is transforming the energy from sun into nutrients.
Form follows function means that the shape of a machine or device will be dictated by what it is designed to do. I have no idea where the "most nearly" fits in.

The function of a starch molecule is energy storage.. Therefore, as form fits function, starch is a very long molecule with many..many...many bonds that store the energy.
The plural form of "one" as a pronoun is "ones." For example, "The blue shirt is too small, but the black one fits perfectly."
Through convergent evolution, in which similar function produces similar form.
BEcause the form is created to aid a specific function therefore deciding the function for the form. For example the foot, it is formed in a way to aid you walking, circulating blood and more. A foot cannot be forced into protecting the body against diseases, because it was not formed for that particular function.
The function of a computer scanner is to copy material. This material may be a worksheet or photo for example.
A gerund functions as a noun in a sentence, representing an action or activity. It can be used as a subject, object, or complement in a sentence.

The form and function are two aspects of design. Say how to design a car? The function is people transport. A tall person will like a big car, like an SUV. A shorter person does not mind driving a Honda fit. So the designer has to make sure the form of the car fits the function -- it has to hold a person comfortably and safely. Say how to design a container (a shampoo bottle, for example)? The function is to hold the fluid (shampoo). But the boss wants the bottle to be held comfortable by a female, so the design has to make sure the bottle is not too big/heavy a cylinder for a female to hold. The boss also wants less shampoo per bottle but not too obvious, so the designer move the bottom one inch up the cylinder to hold less shampoo but may not be noticed. The boss wants hip, so the designer puts Lady Gaga's picture on the label. And so on. The above examples show form to fit function. But sometimes it is function follows form. One example is replacement parts. The replacement has to fit the footprint of the original. The form of the original is paramount. If it does not fit, it cannot serve as a replacement.
