To determine exact value of a 1904 Marlin 12 gauge pump shotgun, you would actually have to take a number of factors into consideration. The main thing to consider would be the condition of the shotgun.
100-300 USD
Good condition-$175 Excellent condition-$400
I have one of those rifles eith the same patent dates. What I have found is that it is aMarlin Model 32 slide action repeating rifle and made 1914-15. My source is a 1990 edition (14th) of Gun Traders Guide. The value then was $275. My rifle has a full magazine.
If you can identify the model number and serial number, then we will be able to date your marlin and help with the value if you include the overall condition of your rifle.
Need an answer. Thank You
Contact Marlin customer service thru their website. I have no listing for a 30-30 pump action Marlin in my references. There are other calibers, but no 30-30.
Your Marlin model 38 pump action 22cal rifle was made between 1920-1930.
I own the same rifle and basically Marlin gave this rifle away in 1930 if 4 shares of stock were purchased. It is a rare gun. Hold on to it!
The Marlin No.27-S slide pump rifle uses the Winchester 32-20 shell from Remington Ammunition and was still available in 1993 as noted in my 1993 Gun Digest ( the last edition I have) and may still be available now.
