what is a newera nitrohammerless #4012 model 1900 double barrel shotgun
Turn of the century
This is not a fully automatic "machine gun". This is an antique double barrel shotgun. They have little collector value. Because of their age they should be shot, if at all, with special ammo appropriate to the metallurgy of the era. Value in excellent condition is about $400.
Turn of the century plus or minus a few decades, no published sn data. 50-100 max
No.
Will vary depending on era, barrel length, finish, and whether or not it includes the original box.
value will depend on condition. also is one of your barrel riffled for accurate slug? is it still operational and accurate? I have a Stevens 1915 410 with one barrel riffled and its in perfect working order, dead accurate, and its in the best condition I have ever seen for that time era. Mines been feeding the family for generations.
Presently no, but they certainly have in the past. In the modern era both the Model 21 & the model 24 were both made in 16 guage.
You didn't really ask a question. The markings are probably worn and the FPA is realy ERA. New Era Gun Works was a trade name used by the Baker Gun Company on firearms made for an unknown retailer, c. 1890-1919.
If the gun is hardly used and is in good condition (clean, no dents, scratches, nice uncracked wood, good blue on the barrel) maybe $450.00. At the other end of the operational scale--still works but doesn't look so good, about $225.00. lcjones
