Video file converter can be find online. CNET, Windows, Media Converter, and Real Player. Sometimes the conversion at these sites might fail or have temporary problems.
This is probably because real player uses a different format then windows media player (usualy .wma). Usually a format converter will solve this problem by taking the real player file, and making it into a windows media file. Try searching the internet for real media to mp3 converter, or something like that. Usually you can find free software to convert your files. Hope this helps!

The Windows Media Player video has to be an actual file to be imported into Windows Movie Maker (meaning you can't drag and drop it).Although I haven't tried it, I believe you can copy the file from Windows Media Player and paste it into Windows Movie Maker (but I don't know this for sure). The best way to get media from Windows Media Player is to ensure it is Saved in the Library. Then, open the file's location and import it that way.
You can right-click on the file in Windows Movie Maker and select copy. Then, in Windows Movie Maker, paste it in the Imported Media pane.Or,Right-click on the file in Windows Media Player, scroll down to Open File Location, then import the media that way.
You can drag music to the Windows Media Player library by opening up the media player and the folder where the music files are located on your computer. Click on a music file and keeping your finger on the mouse or touch pad, drag it down towards the task bar and over to the Windows Media Player icon. Release the mouse and the file will go into the media library.

These are Windows Media player 6.4 that can be found under file name Mplay2 and Windows Media player 5.1 which can be found under Mplayer32. And some people prefer the older versions of Windows Media player to the latest version Windows Media player 9,10 or 11 on Windows XP.Or Windows Media Player 11 on Windows Vista and Windows Media player 11 or 12 on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Windows Media player 6.4 Mplay2 does not work on Windows Vista,or Windows 7 or Windows 8. It only works on Windows XP.
