If I can remember, my lecturer in Organization Theory told me that Creative Disruption is a term coined by some management guru to mean that the organization needs to be subjected to various "disruption" so that it can adapt, learn and improve. This "disruption" is created by the organization itself, so that it can stay alert and on its toes. Too many organization have been slow to adapt and only respond to change or challenge, when it comes their way. Creative disruption means the challange or change is brought by the organization itself, this is done so that the organization can change and adapt, sooner than it really happens. It's called creative disruption, as it is meant to bring about positive effects to the organization.
