Can be a dead battery, defective starter, loose or corroded battery connection, or blown main fuse. If nothing comes on when you turn on the ignition switch and your interior lights are not working it is not the starter.
The belt could need some dressing, or the pulley could bent. The belt could need an adjustment.
The idler pulley has nothing to do with the brakes. If the idler pulley is bad it could throw or break a belt, and then your engine will stop.
the pulley on the harmonic balance drives the alternator belt. this is the pulley at the bottom of the engine ,on the front of the crank shaft if this pulley is not turning you have a problem. this means either the key is missing or the crankshaft is broken
If a car engine stalls when turning, there could be a problem with the power steering pump. There could also be an issue with an emissions control device.
Not sure what your doing but you can use a strap wrench around the bottom pulley to hold the crank from turning.
it was called a pulley because you could hang stuf on it and then you could pull it... a pulley could be a crane or esaltor.
The bolts holding the air conditioner compressor could be loose or the A/C pulley could be out of balance.
The angular velocity of a pulley turning 1800 rpm is 60 pi radians per second.
I need to know more, what model, what engine? It could be a belt, could be a pulley, could be a cam synchronizer.
a gear or a pully
A motor pulley car science project typically involves attaching a small motor to a car chassis, with a pulley system to drive the wheels. By adjusting the size of the pulley, you can explore how different gear ratios affect the speed and torque of the car. This project demonstrates basic principles of mechanical advantage and gear systems in a hands-on way.
Belts need replacing or ajusting. They are slipping on the pulley.
