Elvis only came to the UK once but it wasn't a public event, he sneaked into the UK via a friend (Can't remember his name) to have personal tour around London and that's the only time Elvis visited Britain.

No he was not. He had his first huge hit in 1956 and the British Invasion began in 1964. But he did influence British Invasion artists.
