Astaire doesn't seem to have made any anti-Semitic statements. He avoided conversing about his personal opinions; as he put it, "Because I refuse to discuss politics, religion, dancing, movies, etc." (From the biography by Bob Thomas, Astaire: The Man, The Dancer, St. Martin's Press: New York City [1984], page 120).
