Who discover anode rays?

Dr. Eugen Goldstein was a German physicist who was an early researcher in the area of discharge tubes and atoms, and has also been credited with the discovery of the proton. Goldstein worked at both the Berlin Observatory and the Potsdam Observatory during his career. While conducting research using Crookes tubes, Dr. Goldstein discovered that the tubes emitted light and that magnetic fields had an influence on that light. He eventually named these light rays Cathode rays. This research was the foundation of the eventual discovery of anode rays.

Who discovered diffusion and how?

Diffusion is known from immemorial times; laws for diffusion were elaborated by Adolf Eugen Fick.

When was schizophrenia first identified?

It was observed around 1908, by a Swiss doctor named Eugen Bleuler, to describe the splitting apart of mental functions that he regarded as the central characteristic of schizophrenia.

What does permanente mean?

I'm sorry, but the answer below has NOTHING to do with the question! I appreciate the research Eugen did, but I truly don't understand why he shared it in response to the simple question: "What does permanente" mean? Eugen's answer completely off-topic. The answer to the asker's question is very simple: PERMANENTE = permanent, perpetual or constant. Cheers, ScaryShari ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Director, American Birth Control League To eliminate Blacks from Germany Hitler called on Eugen Fischer. He was one of the leaders of concentration camps in south western Africa. Where Blacks were rounded up to be executed, experimented on or held as free labor. Under Hitler Fischer would serve on committees that plain the sterilization of all Blacks in countries that came under German control. He would also be one of the first Nazi scientist to become publicly affiliated with the Carnegie founded Eugenics laboratory in Coldspring Harbor New York. Eventually he would be put in charge of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute which is founded by the Rockefeller foundation. It was here that many of the Nazi programs for creating racial purity were devolved. ("The most recent Rockefeller gift to the institute from the Foundation was 1,500,000.") "Blacks are an inferior race of savages, who should only be allowed to survive, as long as they are of use to the Aryan race." Eugen Fischer,

How did Earnest Rutherford discover protons?

In 1918, while Rutherford was performing his various experiments in the field of radioactivity, bombarding nitrogen gas with alpha particles (alpha particles are a type of radiation), he noticed that one of the experimental results was a surge of hydrogen. He correctly deduced that the hydrogen atoms must have come from within the nitrogen atoms themselves, which would mean that there was something within all of these atoms which was divisible, the amount of which would determine what element the atom represented. The particle Rutherford isolated was the proton, which by itself constitutes the nucleus of a single hydrogen atom, though in this case it was "ionized" (missing its electron, thereby giving it a net positive charge), which Rutherford determined by exposing the resulting hydrogen to magnetic fields, as had Thompson before him in order to determine the charge of electrons.
